About Us
Hi there! I’m Mackenzie, the owner of Rocky Mountain Ruffers. Around here, we believe pets aren’t just pets—they’re family. And family deserves nothing less than compassionate, high-quality care.
At Rocky Mountain Ruffers, we go beyond the basics. Unlike hobby sitters, we bring professional training, certifications, extensive hands-on experience, and the peace of mind that comes with being a registered and insured business—delivering a higher standard of care, safety, and reliability. As a small business, your pet will see the same trusted sitter every time, allowing them to form a strong bond with their dedicated human caregiver.
And despite the name—we’re not just for the ruffers! We love and welcome cats too. We also have experience caring for small animals like guinea pigs and rabbits.
In addition, I have experience assisting with various medical conditions including epilepsy, diabetes, hyper/hypothyroidism, hip dysplasia, severe allergies, amputees, and more.
Note: At this time, I am not accepting pets who require injections, but I’m happy to assist with other types of medication.

We offer dog walking & drop-in services.
Walks are best for dogs with a lot of energy or need some extra exercise.
Drop-ins are great for cats and for dogs who mainly need a potty break and some company rather than physical exercise.

Recurring Walk Discounts:
For dogs that need a walk M-F on a consistent basis, a 10% discount is offered.
Recurring clients get a free freshly baked dog treat every Friday, and themed goodies on some holidays.

<24 hr notice: 50% refund
